The ACM is looking for a senior data engineer to ensure the ACM can use the right data, in the right way and with the highest quality. As a regulator, ACM makes intensive use of data to support the execution of its tasks. We are currently working further on professionalising data-driven supervision and data-driven working, including through the development of a central Data & Analytics Platform. This platform has recently been introduced with some initial data products running on the platform. In the coming period, the platform will be further expanded with additional functionalities and all existing data products and processes will be transferred to the platform.

A large part of the assignment involves shaping and setting up ETL and BI processes on the platform. This also includes the migration of existing processes to this platform and the technical support of involved employees. Thanks to your CI/CD pipelines on our Kubernetes cluster, data analysts and visualisation experts can create reports and dashboards on data managed centrally.

You have a good ear for both substantive and technical requests and set realistic expectations. With your communication skills, you get things done and contribute to smooth cooperation.

As a data engineer, you will work from the Data and Algorithms Taskforce. The Taskforce Data and Algorithms is a central team of data scientists, data engineers, platform engineers, architects, database administrators, visualisation experts and specialists dealing with the legal, ethical and governance aspects around data and algorithms. The task force works with the various directorates of the ACM on research and innovative applications of data and data science in supervision. For this, we use a hybrid Data & Analytics Platform on which data products are created, which we continue to develop ourselves. We are also working on ACM-wide frameworks and guidelines for high-quality and responsible use of data and algorithms. The Chief Data Officer directs the Taskforce Data and Algorithms, together with the Manager Data Analytics & Innovation and the Manager Visualisations & Data Management. The task force is still in full development, which naturally brings with it a few dynamics - fortunately, we are energised by this. Because we work for all boards within the ACM, we are quickly found by colleagues and with us you get to know the organisation well. What are we proud of, among other things?
