You will combine logistics and ICT expertise to future-proof the technical set-up, processes and systems. Work
What will you do?
- Advising and guiding the business in the realisation of the iHousing project (new warehouse for inbound, storage and outbound).
- Ensuring the technical realisation of the warehouse: hardware setup and ICT systems.
- Optimise processes and logistics set-up of the new site.
- Building, sharing and securing knowledge within the KPU business.
- Supervise and train key users.
- Function as strategic point of contact for ICT systems and hardware.
- Actively contribute to the iHousing project team.
Context and objective
- Realisation of a new warehouse to be fully operational in Q1/Q2 2026.
- Project falls under Defence's iHousing programme.
- Focus on logistics set-up as well as ICT and hardware components.
- Part of the KPU company (Clothing and Personal Equipment Company).
- The KPU company is part of COMMIT (Command Materiel and IT).
- Goal: efficient, future-proof logistics and systems for clothing and equipment.
- Project team works closely with staff section Business Support.
Job requirements
- Working experience at HBO working and thinking level.
- 10 years' work experience in Logistics warehouse and Retail environments.
- 5 years of working experience in EWM/WM and in SAP implementations as a consultant.
- Knowledge of SAP modules such as SAP TM, QM, PP and with SAP interfaces.
- Working experience with EWM greenfield implementations from a NON-SAP to a SAP EWM environment.
- Working experience with implementations in Material Management (NON-SAP and SAP).
Wishes
- Experience with large-scale WM/EWM and SAP implementations at a Defence organisation.
- Experience with the KPU business as an organisation.
Ministry of Defence
- Deployments to Defence are usually for longer periods (1 to 4 years maximum). This position requires a B-screening with an average duration of 6-8 weeks.

Specific to suppliers
When you offer a professional with us and they are placed, we need information from you as a contracting party. Among other things, with regard to the Wet Ketenaansprakelijkheid. The ‘WKA’ aims to prevent abuse in the payment of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to end customer.
Broker parties cover these risks for their customers. To limit liability, measures need to be taken. So too by Hero. Important here is WAADI registration and use of a blocked account, the G account. This is the account into which only payroll taxes and VAT are deposited, which are then paid to the tax authorities. You can apply for the G account from the Tax and Customs Administration.
