Work
What will you do?
- Beheren en uitbreiden van ontwikkel- en testomgevingen.
- Uitrollen van nieuwe softwareversies naar interne systemen.
- Beheren van configuratiebestanden en tooling (o.a. Argo, Git, Helm).
- Inrichten en onderhouden van CI/CD-processen en releasemanagement.
- Begeleiden van migraties naar nieuwe ontwikkelomgevingen.
- Sparren met de System Architect bij technische vraagstukken.
- Opzetten en beheren van monitoring-dashboards.
- Automatiseren van processen en verbeteren van systeembetrouwbaarheid.
- Ondersteunen van ontwikkelteams binnen de Agile Release Train.
- Actief bijdragen aan kennisdeling en documentatie voor continuïteit.
Context and objective
- Defensie staat voor grote uitdagingen door geopolitieke ontwikkelingen, bezuinigingen en digitalisering.
- Versneld waarde creëren voor eindgebruikers is cruciaal.
- Innovatie is noodzakelijk om te voldoen aan toenemende dreiging.
- Verouderde processen worden vervangen door vernieuwde en efficiëntere werkwijzen.
- Binnen COMMIT/JIVC (IT-bedrijf van Defensie) werk je in subdomein Grens & Migratie.
- Je draagt bij aan IT-functionaliteit voor de Koninklijke Marechaussee en Europese regelgeving.
- Werkwijze is gebaseerd op SAFe en Agile samenwerking.
- De opdracht heeft een maatschappelijk component: bijdragen aan een veiliger Nederland en Europa.
Job requirements
- Je hebt ervaring met het ontwerpen en ontwikkelen van schaalbare platformarchitectuur met bijvoorbeeld Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native oplossingen.
- Je ondersteunt DevSecOps en stimuleert shift-left in security en testen.
- Je beschikt minimaal over een HBO werk- en denkniveau.
- Je hebt ervaring met ontwerpen van technische architectuur van cloud-native platformen, container clusters en CI/CD-structuren.
- Je bouwt zelf de onderliggende platformcomponenten (bijvoorbeeld Kubernetes-clusters, ArgoCD GitOps) en zorgt dat alles integreert en schaalbaar is.
- Je implementeert releases en CI/CD pipelines, automatiseert infrastructuurwijzingen, en ondersteunt ontwikkelteams bij uitvol via GitOpns (bijvoorbeeld ArgoCD).
- 3 jaar ervaring in vergelijkbare functies.
- 3 jaar ervaring binnen een grote complexe organisaties.
- 3 jaar hands-on ervaring met het opzetten en veilig maken van cloud (ontwikkel) omgevingen.
Wishes
- Ervaring met het migreren van ontwikkelomgevingen.
- Je helpt processen verbeteren: sneller releasen, minder handmatig werk, hogere DevEx. Denk aan self-service en standaardisatie.

Ministry of Defence
- Deployments to Defence are usually for longer periods (1 to 4 years maximum). This position requires an A-screening process with an average duration of 10-12 weeks.
- When offering a candidate, completion of the offer form is mandatory. This also asks you to explain the requirements and wishes + include a reference to the CV.
Specific to suppliers
When you offer a professional with us and they are placed, we need information from you as a contracting party. Among other things, with regard to the Wet Ketenaansprakelijkheid. The ‘WKA’ aims to prevent abuse in the payment of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to end customer.
Broker parties cover these risks for their customers. To limit liability, measures need to be taken. So too by Hero. Important here is WAADI registration and use of a blocked account, the G account. This is the account into which only payroll taxes and VAT are deposited, which are then paid to the tax authorities. You can apply for the G account from the Tax and Customs Administration.
