For our client Nationaal Archief, we are looking for a Platform Engineer to collaborate within a multidisciplinary Scrum team on the further development and automation of basic IT services. In this role, you will translate infrastructure requirements into powerful designs and implementations, develop integrations based on existing APIs or suitable alternatives, and support development teams in managing their platform independently. With your technical depth and experience in OpenShift, DevOps collaboration and infrastructure development, you will make a direct contribution to a future-proof digital foundation for the National Archives

Work
- Participate in a multidisciplinary Scrum team within the National Archives in The Hague.
- Further develop, design and manage infrastructure components for basic IT services.
- Translate infrastructure requirements into concrete designs, configurations and implementations.
- Realise integrations based on existing APIs or advise on suitable open-source or off-the-shelf alternatives.
- Support development teams in independently managing and customising their infrastructure.
- Work closely with technical application managers, DevOps engineers and infrastructure managers to deliver stable and future-proof solutions.
- Contribute to automation and optimisation of the platform within the organisation.
- Actively participate in team activities, refinements, planning and reviews within the Scrum team.
Job requirements
- You will hold the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certifications;
- You have at least 5 years' experience with Linux;
- You have experience with Container technology such as Docker (demonstrable and current hands-on work experience);
- You have experience within the archive industry;
- You possess HBO level.
