Are you an experienced Environment Manager who gets energy from complex projects in a dynamic environment? For a client in North Holland, we are looking for someone who will contribute to both dyke reinforcement and the renovation of monumental buildings. You know how to connect interests, create support and add social value. With your knowledge and experience, you will support project teams in both preparation and execution, and contribute to strengthening internal processes. A challenging role in which you make a real difference for the environment and cooperation.

Work

  • Set up and implement the environment strategy on themes such as infrastructure, water, nature, landscape and sustainability.
  • Contribute to and implement the Plan of Approach for different project phases (exploration, plan elaboration, realisation).
  • For dyke reinforcement projects, also prepare the grant application.
  • Coordinate and implement area-based approach with stakeholders and exploit co-occurrence opportunities.
  • Organising activities around cooperation and participation, such as residents' meetings.

Context and objective

  • Strengthening support and incorporation of projects in the environment.
  • Creating social added value by connecting with stakeholders and residents.
  • Guiding internal processes to optimise cooperation with partners.
  • Conduct surveys and obtain permits for project realisation.
  • Internal knowledge transfer and coaching of colleagues to build sustainable expertise.

Job requirements

  • Environmentally aware, area knowledge, collaborative/team player, goal-oriented, environmental and administrative sensitive, bridge builder.
  • Good communication skills to convey this both in writing and verbally to colleagues, partners and suppliers (engineering firms). Can work both independently and as part of a team. Is able to coach employees.

Points of interest experience

  • Demonstrated experience with the thinking of the new Environment Act.
  • Preferably demonstrable/some experience in transferring knowledge and experience (coaching and mentoring employees).
  • Preferably demonstrable experience in cooperating with stakeholder organisations and competent authorities regarding spatial planning/area development projects in the North Holland region.
