Are you an experienced leader with a heart for childcare and education? As an interim location manager (28 to 32 hours per week) in The Hague, you will have the opportunity to make a difference to children, parents and colleagues every day. You create connections, monitor quality and give direction to a close-knit team. A varied role in which you use your vision and leadership to create the best care together with education.

  • Inspiring and coaching leadership of pedagogical professionals.
  • Motivate and mentor employees, focusing on development and job satisfaction.
  • Monitor pedagogical quality and implement policy.
  • Contribute to development, implementation and strategic policy-making.
  • Manage budget and monitor financial frameworks.
  • Ensure optimal child occupancy with an eye on quality and continuity.
  • Maintain an overview of daily processes and develop a long-term vision.
  • Maintain contacts with parents, schools and external partners.

Context and objective

  • Managing a location in The Hague with toddler care (PO), child day care (KDV) and out-of-school care (BSO).
  • Collaborating with a Montessori school and a public primary schools.
  • Translate pedagogical policy of the client into daily practice.
  • Strengthen cooperation between care, education and parents.


Job requirements

  • HBO working and thinking level, preferably supplemented by management training at college level.
  • Possesses knowledge of pedagogy and primary education, combined with an understanding of organisational processes and business guidelines.
  • Experience and proven quality within childcare, with good knowledge of GGD requirements.
  • Has strong leadership and coaching skills and knows how to motivate and develop employees.
  • Applies situational leadership and matches style to team behaviour and needs.
  • Communicates convincingly and clearly, both orally and in writing, and liaises smoothly with internal and external partners.
