Work
You have a solid technical background and are used to operating in a multidisciplinary team. You are also able to contribute to or support the various team activities on the basis of your technical and substantive knowledge. The team is responsible for the automation of the basic IT services. You therefore have good communication skills, both oral and written, and a good technical grounding in the use of the required methods and techniques.
- You translate infrastructure requirements into designs and implementations that allow development teams to independently manage and customise their infrastructure'
- You are able to realise own integrations based on existing APIs or advise in applying off the shelf / open source alternatives that can achieve the same;
- In doing so, you will work closely with technical application managers/devops engineers on the one hand and infrastructure managers on the other;
Job requirements
- You possess HBO working and thinking level;
- You have 5 years of working experience with Linux;
- You have at least 2 years' experience in Agile environment;
- You have Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) credentials
- You will have Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD);
Wishes:
- Good teamwork skills;
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux and certification RHCSA 7 or 8. Experience building automated deployments to and from RHEL systems.
- Knowledge and experience of Development toolstack including: Gitlab CI, Git, ansible, jira, confluence, Elastic, Check_MK (or similar tools)
- Knowledge and experience with virtualisation products (e.g. VMware or RHEV)
- Demonstrated recent experience in complex, and highly technological assignments (and in similar role. Make this known in substantiation or CV.
- The candidate will have a demonstrable minimum of 2.5 years of relevant and current Infrastructure/ DevOps engineering work experience with:
- Build and maintain self-service infrastructure services based on (largely) open-source toolchain;
- Building infrastructure components through declarative/idempotent designed code using Ansible, Puppet or similar tooling.
- In doing so, leaning on best practices for the tool in question;
- Has a vision of self-service / infrastructure as code and can communicate it.
