Work
What will you do?
- Ontwikkelen van computer vision-pipelines voor het trainen en valideren van AI-modellen.
- Implementeren van deze modellen in productiesystemen, met aandacht voor transparantie, reproduceerbaarheid en uitlegbaarheid.
- Samenstellen, beheren en optimaliseren van (synthetische) datasets.
- Nauw samenwerken met eindgebruikers om analyses af te stemmen op hun behoeften.
- Ontwikkelen van oplossingen om data van verschillende sensoren te combineren.
- Implementeren van generieke analysecomponenten die geïntegreerd worden in bestaande softwareproducten.
- Bijdragen aan het verbeteren en uitbreiden van bestaande computer vision-toepassingen.
- Experimenteren met nieuwe AI-methodieken en technologieën om modellen verder te verfijnen.
Context and objective
- De opdracht draagt bij aan het veiliger maken van Nederland door inzet van geavanceerde IT- en AI-technologie.
- Het project richt zich op de toepassing van computer vision binnen bewaking en beveiliging.
- Het doel is om afwijkende patronen sneller en accurater te detecteren en ondermijnende criminaliteit tegen te gaan.
- De inzet van AI gebeurt met respect voor privacy, ethiek en wettelijke kaders.
- De functie maakt deel uit van het DevOps-team van de Koninklijke Marechaussee.
- DevOps ontwikkelt innovatieve toepassingen op het gebied van AI, robotica en 3D-printing.
- De focus ligt op zowel kennisontwikkeling als praktische waarde in operationele situaties.
- De kandidaat speelt een sleutelrol in het verfijnen van bestaande modellen en het ontwikkelen van nieuwe oplossingen.
Job requirements
- Ervaring het creatief ontwikkelen van applicaties en het kiezen van de geschikte technische opties; het rekening houden met andere ontwikkelingsactiviteiten; het optimaliseren van applicatieontwikkeling, – beheer en -prestaties door het gebruik van architectuur en het hergebruik van bewezen oplossingen.
- Je hebt een afgeronde technische WO-opleiding (diploma) in AI, Computer Science, Data Science of gerelateerd beta-vakgebied.
- You have a command of the Dutch and English language both verbally and in writing (Level B2).
- 1 jaar ervaring met werken in data science teams.
- 1 jaar ervaring met computer vision technieken (traditioneel, dan wel modern).
- 1 jaar ervaring met verschillende AI libraries/frameworks (denk aan: PyTorch, transformers, ultralytics, roboflow).
- 1 jaar ervaring met het opzetten van training- en validatiepipelines voor beeldherkenning.
Wishes
- Ervaring in werken met video-data.
- Ervaring met experiment tracking tools zoals MLflow, WandB of tensorboard.
- Ervaring met softwareontwikkeltools/-omgevingen, zoals Linux, Docker en Git.
- Je hebt affiniteit met het gebruik van verschillende soorten sensoren (camera’s, microfoons, bewegingssensors, etc.).
- Ervaring met het inzetten en/of fine-tunen van foundation models voor specifieke toepassingen (denk aan: MAE, DINO, SAM, SigLIP) .
- Je bent fulltime beschikbaar, minimaal 38-40 uur per week.
Ministry of Defence
- Deployments to Defence are usually for longer periods (1 to 4 years maximum). This position requires a B-screening with an average duration of 6-8 weeks.
- When offering a candidate, completion of the offer form is mandatory. This also asks you to explain the requirements and wishes + include a reference to the CV.
Specific to suppliers
When you offer a professional with us and they are placed, we need information from you as a contracting party. Among other things, with regard to the Wet Ketenaansprakelijkheid. The ‘WKA’ aims to prevent abuse in the payment of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to end customer.
Broker parties cover these risks for their customers. To limit liability, measures need to be taken. So too by Hero. Important here is WAADI registration and use of a blocked account, the G account. This is the account into which only payroll taxes and VAT are deposited, which are then paid to the tax authorities. You can apply for the G account from the Tax and Customs Administration.
