Work
As a Business Analyst, you will strengthen the Information Management department, in the Information Provision & ICT team, in the area of business and information analysis. Together with a team of Business Analysts, you make every effort to optimally align the information provision with the needs of the organisation and help to achieve the organisational objectives. You analyse a variety of business issues and problem statements, set them against regulations and policy, and shape effective solutions in SSM's work processes and information systems. You guide the solutions from the analysis and design phase to the implementation and management phase. The BA works in a multidisciplinary team, has an important role in collaborating with business representatives and acts as a bridge between business and IT to define and realise solutions that meet the needs of the organisation.
Key activities include collecting and analysing business needs through workshops and interviews, documenting requirements and improvement proposals, and communicating with stakeholders to manage expectations and align project goals. Part of the day-to-day work includes functional management tasks (think testing activities, putting documentation in order, user support) and ongoing information assurance projects. In 2025 (and beyond), a major improvement initiative around SSM's information management is ongoing. The focus here is on analysing existing business processes and the data used in them in order to then make improvement proposals in the context of optimising the existing information management. This work needs to be anchored within the government context and is therefore also important to link to the archive law, accessibility requirements and other guidelines that SSM is responsible for.
Job requirements

- You have knowledge of Business Analytics, BABoK or equivalent
- You have at least 2 years of knowledge/experience with case systems (e.g. RijksZaak/Pega systems)
Wishes
- You have experience in an advisory role with a government organisation at an implementing organisation within the national government
- You have knowledge of and experience with process modelling and information flows. Both in drafting processes and optimising them, including structuring information flows. Methodologies such as UML and RASCI are familiar
- You have experience with digital services
- You have proven experience in improving data and information structures and setting up governance or these topics
- You have demonstrable knowledge of Agile Scrum with certification as a Scrum Master/SAFe professional
- You have experience with archive law and related information security principles
- You have knowledge of and experience with document management systems
