Work
In 2025, the Business intelligence (BI) department commissioned a study on the future of the BI environment within the organisation. This involved evaluating various architecture variants and contrasting them with the organisation's current and future information needs. Based on this study, it was recommended to implement Microsoft Fabric, using the medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers).
From 2026, the BI department wants to start the transition of the current BI environment to this new architecture. As the team still has limited experience with Fabric and the Medallion architecture, we are looking for a temporary BI consultant to support the team substantively and technically in this transformation.
Job requirements
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, including experience migrating or redesigning BI environments to a Fabric-based architecture.
- Active contribution to unlocking data sources to the resource layer, including setting up pipelines and structuring data according to medallion principles.
- Knowledge transfer to the BI team, both on-the-job and via documentation and possibly short knowledge sessions, so that the team can continue building the new environment independently.
- Collaborate with stakeholders outside the BI department for technical alignment of implementation with infra, architecture and application management.
- Contribute to best practices and standards for the use of Fabric within the organisation, including governance, security and performance optimisation
