For our client in the region of the North of Brabant, we are looking for a Networks and Connectivity Engineer
About the role
The role is responsible for the operational work on the Core IT Networks and Connectivity Services, including the management and support of the services provided and also participating in a number of running projects.
Werkzaamheden
- Maintain the networking platforms used by the team including Cisco Catalyst Centre, Catalyst switching/WiFi and ACI Fabric.
- Maintain the networking security platforms including Cisco ISE, Cisco FMC and Checkpoint Firewalls.
- Investigation and timely resolution of incidents, problems and changes
- Work with a number of 3rd party partner companies to support and maintain the networking platforms.
- Adherence to standardised Incident, Change and Problem management processes
- Manage operational aspects of production environments including Disaster Recovery, daily/weekly operational checks, updates, and services health
- Participate in various projects including the rollout of upgraded LAN standards and a number of Network integration projects as a result of a merger
- Work closely with the Infrastructure Operations team to deliver services to the organisation
- Ensure adherence to Cybersecurity policies and controls
- Liaise and collaborate effectively with other GIS functions including Service Excellence, Cybersecurity and Platforms
- Ensure business continuity is maintained and prioritised through a period of significant change for IT
- Follow the GIS standards including the use of standard documents, evaluation mechanisms, metrics, and reporting
Functie-eisen
- Experience in a network administrator or similar role
- Experience with large networks and complex IP environments
- Knowledge and experience in administering firewall environments, ideally Checkpoint and Cisco FMC
- Knowledge or experience in administering Cisco Catalyst Wired and Wireless infrastructure
- Possess a strong character to ensure implementation of secure and stable solutions
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Confident problem solver with strong analytical skills
- Business English verbal and written, and the ability to work with other functions and teams
- DESIRABLE: Knowledge in administration/management of Cisco ACI Fabric environments
- DESIRABLE: Knowledge in administration/management of Cisco ISE and Cisco Catalyst Centre
- DESIRABLE: Experience in network projects related to Mergers & Acquisitions
- DESIRABLE: Experience in the rollout of LAN refresh projects.
- DESIRABLE: Manufacturing Industry Experience
